Wilkinson Workshop – Using your DSLR Beginners – Stage 2

Level: Beginner: Ideal follow on course for customers who have attended the ‘Using Your Digital SLR Beginners’ Stage 1 Workshop. Photographic knowledge is not essential.

Content: This full day workshop covers many of the same topics in more depth and with additional hands on exercises. In addition we will look at some of the practicalities of photography and cover the basics of composition including:

• Subject selection
• Choice of viewpoint
• What to include and what to leave out
• And much more…

The morning will be spent indoors with a presentation and exercises. After lunch we will be taking photographs in the beautiful surroundings of the 600 acre park, putting the morning’s learning into practice with guidance from the workshop tutor. This will be followed by a review session and optional critique of projected images.

You will be provided with a workbook containing a copy of the slides used with space to make notes. You will also have the opportunity to print your best image of the day to A3 size.

What to Bring: Your digital SLR camera, lenses, spare battery, memory cards, tripod if you have one, outdoor clothing and a pen to make notes.
